MycoEarth's Living, Native, Fungi First Soil Inoculant is a made-to-order product (typically shipped in 4 weeks) that can overwinter in colder areas and covers 50 square feet. Your delivery location tells us where your garden is, and we will match the fungi species to your location.
The native fungi must be buried about 6 to 12 inches deep in garden soil before planting, between rows, or in empty spaces anytime. Each inoculant weighs 6 pounds and covers 50 square feet, even if scattered evenly and topped with dampened dead organic material and then dampened soil. The area must stay damp for 14 days, then water as usual. This inoculant does overwinter in mild snowfall. Please reach out via email before purchase if your snowfall is over 3 feet and the summer heat exceeds 90F with no shade. This fungus continues to grow, building the soil microbiome. Agricultural chemicals kill this product. No fertilizer is needed. If in Summer, your garden is exposed to the sun at all times, bury the inoculant with soaked dead organic material 12 inches down.
